A new Black Mountain location of this species, for which the Black Mountain area is a stronghold. There are less than a dozen recorded locations for this species nationally

User's notes

About 20cm tall within open Joycea pallida tussock, no basal leaf apparent.

Michael, I've confirmed this as C. cornuta largely on the basis of colour and shape of flowers. There are green forms of C. clivicola which makes identification difficult when the flowers are closed. It seems that the few plants that flowered this autumn are finishing very quickly in the heat.

The position of the leaf tip quite close to the flowers is another clue.
