While you wait for spiders to be added to Canberra Nature Map, you can post spiders onto the Bowerbird site, which is another excellent site hosted by the Victorian Museum - see www.bowerbird.org.au
My guess is that your photo is of a St Andrew's Cross Spider - the underneath side of the animal. Can't see the web but it should have a silk cross design within it and when threatened the spider does a whole lot of shake'n of its web.
