Hi Rosie,
We hope to add spiders and insects before Jun 30, more to come in this space. I won't delete this record, but we'll have to leave it in the Unidentified pool for now. More to come in this space and thanks for your report. Cheers Aaron.

While you wait for spiders to be added to Canberra Nature Map, you can post spiders onto the Bowerbird site, which is another excellent site hosted by the Victorian Museum - see www.bowerbird.org.au
My guess is that your photo is of a St Andrew's Cross Spider - the underneath side of the animal. Can't see the web but it should have a silk cross design within it and when threatened the spider does a whole lot of shake'n of its web.
