This may be a flowering tobacco plant of the Nicotiana species, which may have been good for honey production.

thanks Michael. It is in a place more likely to be a chance seed, rather than a deliberate planting. All around are native grasses and forbs.

This will be a Myosotis species (Boraginaceae) - most are introduced but there is a native one too.

Thanks Russell.

Thanks for the tip Russell - the ID of this one has been nagging me for months. I was blinded by the beauty of its flowers and had been looking through gardening books when I should have had my nose in weed books. As blue heliotrope is related to Paterson's curse (a noted honey producer) I still wonder whether bee keepers may be responsible for the presence of this plant at Chisholm.

Thanks Michael for the useful (as always) information - this photo was taken at Wandiyali, as with all my other sightings. I don't know why the map registers as Chisholm. It is/was a small patch of a few plants, earmarked now for hand weeding.

Wandiyali I will make you a trusted contributor. If you could then click on the edit button of this record, and use the map option within the location field and click on the right location on the google map, that would be great

Great I was worried my instructions may have just muddied the waters, if you could change any other out of place records that would be fantastic
