Ryu this is one of the Callistemon citrinus cultivars, it would have been planted at this location. There are 98 year old plantings on the top of Red Hill. 5,000 individual plantings were put in, in rows, over that time a few seedlings have established close to the original plantings

Michael, should this one be classified as an imported native, rather than a common local native?

Not until we resolve our boundary issue (which will hopefully be soon) as it is local to the south coast
