A very healthy clump of Pellaea fern - with all fronds no bigger than about 30cm maximum. This was sighted by Waltraud Pix, additional photos from Aaron Clausen.
Keen to know what you think on this one David. It did look a bit different and quite smaller than my P. calidirupium sightings from Black Mountain. This wouldn't be a P. falcata nana or anything would it?
Pellaea can be tricky. Probably P. callidirupium, habitat form. P. faclata nana is really quite small, probably not this. P. falcata (not nana) is characterised by bare black stipes from old fronds among the live fronds.
