This is a fly; don't know which family, maybe a Strat or some Asiloid - ask Dave Ferguson

RodDeb, on enlarging this image (even with CNM resolution limits) I think I can see halteres (google is your friend here). Only diptera (true flies) and Strepsiptera (much less likely to be encountered) have them hence jgl's comment.
