Possibly a Neosparassus as Roger says. But I think they have a more convex cephalothorax (combined head and thorax) and shorter legs. Neosparassus also have strong markings (black and white and in some species orange) under the abdomen, but you have to be game to turn one over as they are aggressive and have a nasty bite!

Hi Kim thanks for your comments. I have never found these terribly aggressive as i have moved them about and handled them occasionally for a long time now. I must admit I have never turned one over to see their abdomen colour! Peter

Hi Peter. I should have been clearer - in my experience, among the huntsman spiders only the Badge ones (Neosparassus) are agressive. Isopeda are bigger and come into houses, but are not aggressive, in fact they prefer to run away and hide.
