Was it really this yellowish colour? M. latro is usually brownish in appearance. I think the lack of upturned, backward pointing palps mitgates against it being T. metachroa.
If it held its palps together, and they were upturned as in Gelechiiod moths , in a dorsal photo such as these: they would appear as a single proboscis. I can only find pure yellow moths in Oecophoridae.
See sighting 4424412. M. lattro seems to vary a lot in colouring in photos from yellow to grey to pinkish brown depending on the lighting. This moth has an extended proboscis, 'fluted'' forewing outer margins as seen in several M. lattro examples and a fine black dotted line parallel with the forewing termen as also seen in fresh examples and in sighting 4424412. Large black eyes just visible in the 3rd photo.
