After taking the case moth into protective custody as requested (sighting #4404148), this is what emerged - really beautiful close up, wish I had a better lens.

Nice work Lisa H, see Sighting no, 4404148: Heliocosma argyroleuca. ie. not a case moth. Great to have the pupal case identified to species level. Your photo i.e 4404148 merits posting on Lepidoptera Butterfly House I think - over to donhe!
