I saw a large monitor disappearing into this hollow. Even after waiting for 30min, camera poised, this is the only shot I got. The head is just sticking out in the shadow of the hollow. Are the lower head markings enough to identify the species?
Well done for submitting this record. Great to see the kind of shelter sites this very rare goanna uses. Interesting that a T. scincoides (Common Bluetongue Lizard) was there as well. So two records in one!
