Anthicinae (subfamily) (Ant-like flower beetles, ant-like beetles)
Anthicinae is the largest of a number of subfamilies of the Anthicidae. They are small beetles common on the soil surface, in leaf litter and on foliage. They are omnivorous, feeding on both animal and plant matter. Their body shape gives them a superficial resemblance to ants.
