Wasn't really thinking about much else to be honest here - clearly Hordeum in my view and it looks pretty typical for leporinum in regards to the features I can see, e.g. the glumes and spikelets (not matching other Hordeum species here to my knowledge). Having seen this species many a time in the local area, I've never really considered anything else to be similar really, so maybe I haven't done it the due diligence here, were you thinking of something different?

Yes it is clearly Hordeum, but i'm not sure I think it looks typical for H.leporinum given that barley grasses all look very similar. They are seperated based on the presence or absence of leaf auricles and features of the three-part spikelet with bristles, features which we can't see here. There are at least 4 species of Hordeum in the ACT, and without the plant in hand we may as well be guessing at the species so yes. I think we should stick to genus here.
