Its not a great photo, I agree but best I could do with my phone. However CAI, I still think it is a Meadow Argus and a male at that.

Not clear in the photo, but it had what I interpreted as strong sex brands across the forewing.

Unfortunately no visible sex scales are recorded for this species. Michael Braby notes "The female is similar to the male, but is generally larger, with the termen of the hind wing more rounded, and the apex of the fore wing less pointed. The sexes, however, are most reliably distinguished by examination of the foreleg."
