I thought at first that this bee was Megachile (Eutricharaea) maculariformis seeing the orange head, about the same size, but no orange bottom, not a very cooperative bee.

There is some orange on the tail, but it is worn and/or curled under in the image.

It depends on the angle of the lighting. Males do have a reasonable amount of hair (https://michaelbatley.github.io/Bee-ID-SM/maculariformis.htm)
