These moths are known to be variable both in primary colour (maybe red, orange or yellow) and in the black markings (number, extent and size), particularly in the south of its range. Moths of Victoria (Part 2) illustrate several different forms. This is an orange form different from the red examples they show from Canberra and Queanbeyan.
