User's notes
Two separate sightings were made. The first sighting is shown in the final image and was on the western side of the tree. The second sighting is shown in the first to fourth images and was on the northern side of the tree. There were five minutes between the two sightings so it's assumed two female MGCB's were involved however, it could have been just the one female. Poor quality images as both sightings were towards the top of the tree in hot and windy conditions however, they are provided for CNM's records of this rare bee. Thanks to Marcus Leach for the initial sightings.

Hi Tim & Marcus,
I inspected these trees (Callistachys lanceolata) week ago but no sightings. Glad you have found some females. There are several of these trees in flower including self sown seedlings in Fabaceae sections 34 and 42 up the top.

Thanks Roger. We checked all of the previous ANBG sighting locations but this was the only Section where we saw the MGCBs. On a different subject, have you any idea what one of these is? Fulgoroidea sp. (superfamily)

That definitely looks like it. I originally thought it could be a sawfly!. The fulgorids have some remarkeable life forms.
