User's notes

The images are part of the sequence of a Brown snake catching and devouring a frog in ANBG’s Rainforest Gully. The initial part of the sequence is shown in previous sighting 4412793. In these images the frog had finally succumbed to the snake bite and stopped moving. The snake then started to devour the frog as seen in the remaining images. The snake eventually took off away from the boardwalk and into the undergrowth. The final image was taken from a distance by which time most of the frog was within the Brown snake’s open jaws. Thanks to Marcus and Barbara for the initial sighting of the basking Brown snake and for tracking its progress through the undergrowth.
