On my way to the site I heard then saw a bird flying towards the known hollow. I arrived just in time to see a tail disappearing into the hollow, so I don't know if it was male or female. About a minute later the female emerged, sat briefly on the edge and then flew off. Possibly a change of shift? This was the first time since 11 Nov that I had seen any activity at this site.
