User's notes

About 20 cm across (long axis). Second specimen only 2-3 cm across. Aranda Bushland towards Bindubi St bike underpass.

This is a well-chewed specimen of Laetiporus portentosus, one of the shelf-like polypore fungi. It's probably more common to see it chewed and fallen rather than still on a tree. Confirmation will have to await the species' re-appearance on the drop-down list.
