This is Austrotephritis trupanea. See the following doco: https://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:biodiversity.org.au:afd.taxon:dfee0030-6f32-499f-a5a5-de8bb6bbfc4c#overview https://www.researchgate.net/publication/293083291_A_new_Australian_species_of_Austrotephritis_Hancock_Drew_Diptera_Tephritidae_Tephritinae
Trupanea also appears as a genus name in ALA - https://bie.ala.org.au/species/urn:lsid:biodiversity.org.au:afd.taxon:a735a674-66a3-4ce1-b3f0-3b158d9a644a#overview - and most of the images there look like this sighting. Having said that, I know there are a lot of misidentifications on ALA.
