The Magpies have fledged right on schedule. Despite this small park having five or six different families in residence over the years the chicks have always fledged on the October long weekend for as long as I can remember. This family (2 females, one male) had two nests so not yet confirmed how many chicks they have. Have only seen two so far. At least six nests in this area have fledged over this weekend. Photo 3, two days after fledging, one chick low down in a bush still finding its wings.
