Nest discovered during Koala habitat study. Bird circled overhead very high.

Wow, some unburnt forest out in the ranges - good to see. Is the brown foliage in the foreground from drought, not fire? Loss of stick nests isn't a fire consequence that leaps immediately to mind, but for birds that build a huge nest and reuse it year after year, it must be quite a drain on resources to have to rebuild, assuming they survive the fire and don't starve to death.

Jackie, the whole area was burnt. Perhaps it was so high up that it escaped ignition?
