Photos 2 and 3 show other feeders at this site (and the ant is the subject of: Camponotus suffusus (Golden-tailed sugar ant) on 21 Mar 2019).Unfortunately the other subject in Photo 2 didn't stay for a better photo. I thank Judith Curnow for Photo 1. The butterfly flew away from and back to the same wound several times, sometimes circling two to five metres away from that trunk.
