From what I can see of the leaves, and from flower colour, I have the impression that it is a feral Lotus.. The wing petals and keel appear to have been damaged early in development.
I was surprised at how easily, assuming it is a Lotus, that it keyed out to Lotus angustissimus, assuming that if the keel was undamaged, it would have a short beak bent upwards from the middle.

Unfortunately, others of the photos I took were too blurred. I'll be in the same area during the next week and try to find them again. Merry Christmas to you and thanks for your efforts in 2018.

Thanks John
This will be the first CNM sighting of this species if you can find an undamaged flower.

Sorry, I didn't realise that the flower was damaged. Festive season commitments precluded me getting back there until today. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the plant. Should I delete it?

I would rather keep it on the database, even if marked as Inconclusive. Someone in future might be interested in that sort of damage.

Ryu Callaway earlier reported a yellow lotus from this location we originally thought it was angustimmus, but Greg Baines collected a specimen and destroyed all other plants. The specimen ID to corniculatus. I suspect this is from seed of the same plants. Steve Taylor it would be good if some-one could also destroy this plants as lotus does have a high weed risk.

This species is probably much more widespread in Namadgi that we previously thought. Dave Albrecht and I came across quite a few in a small bog near the summit of Orroral Hill in December.
