Hi Sandra
Wallaby grasses are the most difficult of all grasses to ID from photos. While this looks superficially like Rytidosperma caespitosum, I don't know enough to confirm.

No problems at all Michael. Grasses can be difficult I know! I have quite a few grasses yet to ID, so I'll collect plants of those we can't ID from photos and take them to the ANBG or get someone else to ID them. I have a friend who is assisting someone doing fieldwork re ID of grasses, so I might see if they have time to come out. For specimens, is it best is to dig up the whole plant and store in a paper bag? I'll make sure I take the in situ photos as well.

It is a good idea to get the whole plant, and also to photograph them.
You could try using CNMap as a first option (except perhaps for Wallaby grasses), as some grasses are quite easy.
For ID purposes at ANBG they require you to press them and dry them while they are pressed. Also good to have seed-heads present.

Okay thanks. Jeremy made a press for his sister a few years back, so I'll get him to make me one too!
