The common name is black-anthered, though they are usually dark brown. Even though the anthers are a paler brown here, all the other species of Dianella have yellow anthers. The leaves are broader than local plants, and the flower stalks shorter. But the leaf edges are still rolled back, typical of revoluta. This is a very widespread and variable plant common from Bundaberg and well inland, through NSW and Victoria and west to the Nullarbor in South Australia. I suspect it was in the original plantings or offspring thereof.
