Thanks Kim. This was ID'd by Ted Edwards some time ago as P. attacta, but looking at other internet images, your conclusion seems more correct. Shall I change the two sightings?
Michael, I'd like to run it by Ted, and check the images against reliably identified specimens (e.g. in the ANIC) before confirming it as P. absorpta. I based my suggestion only on internet images.
Absorbta and attacta are very similar. The two groups in ANIC have slightly different hue (browner or greyer, but photos don't capture this well); the males of one have a more robust body than the other (body not visible in photos); and the two fw costal black spots seem more prominent in attacta. I think attacta is right for this and for 3355106. Specimen 3362954 looks more like another Didymoctena exsuperata (see comment on Psilosticha attacta 3362675)
