This is within an area that has been subject to historic 1917 plantings of usually red flowered plants by Charles Weston and more recent (probably 1960s + 1970s) plantings by telecommunication companies so it could be from anywhere. Using flora of NSW I got down to Acacia halliana, but I have no records of this species being planted in Canberra. From a distance i got excited thinking that it may be Acacia dawsonii but it only has one prominent vein on the phyllode. I have collected a specimen.
