What kind of eucalypt is this? An elata, sideroxylon, aggregata or other? How old do you think it is? Its above the roofline of a two story house. Is it native to Kambah area? Thanks

It looks a bit like sideroxylon to me, not really native to this area, more common, out west. 30- 40 years old? Red flowers would give it away.

Hi Alex, Yes, its a sideroxylon... I just took a photo of the 'nuts', but cant work out how to add them to the sighting. But yes, its a Mugga Ironbark for sure.
Where could I find out when they were planted? Is it ACT Environment? Thanks, Samantha

I'm not really sure how to get exact age without looking into the planting schedules.. but as a rough guide, Kambah was 'gazetted' for sale in 1973 and they are unlikely to be any older than, that unless they are associated with an old homestead or windbreak.

Thanks Alex. Im just trying to work out when the trees were planted in relation to when the power poles went in, and therefore which was there first. Its quite difficult to know, as its not part of the street planting, and backs onto Athlon Drive.
