User's notes

Female of the pair sat on a branch and when joined by the male groomed the male and vice versa. Male spent most of his time checking out the tree hollows. They were on the tree for about 20 mins. After they left, another pair that had been in another tree flew to this tree and repeated the same tree inspection taking less time. They then followed the other pair to trees on the west side of the property. This tree had been a previous nesting site for the sacred kingfisher. It was abandoned 6? years ago when a large branch adjacent to the entrance of the 'small' nesting hollow was brought down in a windstorm. This site has not been used by the gang gangs previously.
