User's notes

Loved the iridescence, and the pale speckled throat - we assume it has just shed?

I'm not sure what this is, it looks like a Lygisaurus but a long way south if it is. It would have been handy to know if it had four fingers or not. I would be keen to hear Will's views on this one.

I have a number of other photos if that's helpful - pretty similar to what has been posted, though.

Only if I can see whether it has four or five fingers

I've just put up another sighting with four photos - five toes and four fingers (I think)? #4258053

Thanks for putting up the extra photos. I must say I agree with John that this is a somewhat odd looking skink - seems to have a slightly pointy look to head. I went though quite a few more P. entrecasteauxii photos that i have and you do see that look in them from certain angles. I am happy with the ID being P. entrecasteauxii. A lot of this would be resolved with clearer photos. Do you know why your phone camera is continuing to take blurry photos? I hope it is not just my computer seeing them that way! You will get better at this so keep those records coming in from that good regional site you have been visiting. You never know what might turn up.

Thank you for your encouragement, and your time. I'm not using a phone camera. I've had a look at the photos on the CNM, and my photos, and there is a difference in sharpness and clarity. For example, in the original of the first photo, I can clearly see a wart under the eye, and the scaling is very clear. In other photos some of the sharpness is lost because I crop the photos.
