Thank you for submitting that photo. You id is correct. As far as we can work out this species is not native to the ACT. Instead it has been brought in to Canberra hidden in cracks in firewood or amongst nursery supplies and plants from the coastal areas to the east of the ACT. It has never been found in suitable moist forested habitat for this species in the ACT such as occurs at Tidbinbilla and Namadgi. An attractive little skink that is a harmless addition to Canberra gardens.
