User's notes

This ant reallly doesn't like to be photographed. I have been trying for a long time but every time I sneak up on it, it drops off the tree - even as it's moving through the bark, it hides when it sees me... might be hard to ID with the lack of detail!

Hi JJ, sorry but this one is a bit hard! Photos 1, 2 and 5 are ants, maybe Crematogaster and/or Notoncus, and photos 3 and 4 look like a flower wasp. Sorry I can’t be more definitive. Cheers, Jon

Photos 3 and 4 are a wasp of family Mutillidae.
