Whilst at the lake thought I'd check on the Little Red Flying Foxes as reported by MattM. I estimated at least 100 present, so agree with Matt's 120 count. Very high up, and definitely smaller than the Grey-headed flying Foxes. Some just sleeping, others moving and preening. A breeze and the light changing as the branches moved, as well as the height made them challenging to photograph. Lovely to see, thanks Matt (and parents) for finding them.
Was at the lake today so went to the spot where these were reported, and could not find any. Don't know if anyone else has been keeping an eye on them and knows when they left..
