Hi Cath, I suspect that this is Camponotus stefani due to the shape of the petiole (the bump between the body and tail) but can't quite see it well enough. The species is recorded around the district but not on CNM yet. If you pass by the spot again, try to get more side views (if only they would stay still!). Cheers, Jon
