User's notes

This is not robust enough to be C. procerum, so by default I assume it is Cycnogeton multifructum (Triglochin multifructum). Latest Census (4.1) gives only one species Cycogeton multifructum for ACT. Pool level in river is falling and plant likely to be desiccated before setting fruit. I couldn't find it under Other Water Plant

We had it under rushes & sedges, which was probably the wrong place because we didn't have other water plants until recently. I have moved it.

Technically, it is a sort of sedge. The leaves are sedge like.

that is interesting. I have not seen it listed or described as a sedge before.

You are right. That is why I said ‘a sort of sedge’ following the rhyme Sedges have edges and rushes are round’. Sedges in the narrow sense are in the family Cyperaceae eg the genera Cyperus, Carex.
