Peter,
grazing was the reason for the fencing of two Spider orchid populations. Overgrazing has a huge impact on groundcover plants including orchids.

Does anyone regularly check the fences sites for orchids? The other cages over Spider orchids are battered and seem to be 'unowned' apart from my visits
