Thanks for the sighting. Could you please confirm whether this cockroach had any yellow markings underneath and were the legs reddish. Was the size more like 35-40mm or was it smaller? 50mm is quite large for a roach in our area. There are two very similar Platyzosteria species, so with out more detail it can be challenging to tell the difference from photos. Thanks, Sandra

Sandra thanks. Yes 35 mm probably more accurate size wise, definitely no yellow markings, very black in colour overall

Thanks jackQ. The grey coloured "goop" on the cockroach is defensive mucilage. Good to have a photo of that on CNM.
