User's notes
About 7-8cm diameter, among low shrubs and interspersed with another, purplish fungus (separate sighting). Sorry did not get a clear photo of gills, which were white.

Given your stated cap size I'm more inclined towards a Macrolepiota species for this. How tall was it and did it have a ring on the stipe (stem)?

Ken - Sorry, I absent-mindedly forgot that I had a photo showing underside, now attached. Yes it had a stem ring, visible in underside photo. Looking at the size of my hand in the underside photo, I think I overstated the size of the cap. I am not sure about height but quite low to the ground, probably about 6cm.
