I was looking at a tree with Sugar Ants climbing down its trunk, when I noticed what I believe was a Spiny Ant climbing in the opposite direction. It bumped into at least one Sugar Ant without any interaction. Please note, photos 1 and 2 are of one ant and photo 3 is the second ant I saw but on a different tree.
Hi, the first two photos are of a queen that has lost her wings, and it's not easy to tell what species she is. The third photo is of a worker, but can't quite make out enough detail to confirm it as Polyrhachis phryne, although it is a pretty likely guess. Cheers, Jon
