This species is rarely recorded in the ACT and had not been recorded in this general vicinity since 2003

Author's notes

I think there were maybe 30 to 40 plants at this site. Most plants past their best, one plant looked like it had yet to flower, and one plant was in flower. I'm assuming the withered plants are the same as the fresh one and the difference in the petals is due to them shriveling up.

I think you're probably right with P sphacelatum here. Hard to gauge size from the photos though...were they reasonably tall? Flowers certainly look well spaced as per P sphacelatum.

Only as tall as the orchid book. I deleted the photo with the book because it was blurry. I think that makes it 20-30cm tall.
