This does not look like L. saccharina, which is a cosmpolitan household pest, but could be one of the several native lepismids that are found under bark and in termite nests. The expert was John Irish but he has moved to Namibia.

I believe this species is the cosmopolitan Ctenolepisma longicaudatum. It is definitely not Lepisma saccharinum, as the latter has much shorter tail filaments. The native Lepismatid species (subfamily Heterolepismatinae) so far known around Canberra don't have as many bristles on the head and the bristles are smooth not barbed.
