Not guichenoti but could be either delicata or coventryi. coventryi has paired frontoparietals rather than fused as in delicata. Despite good shots of the top of the head I still can't see that feature to confirm coventryi. What do you think Will?
I am pretty sure this is a Lampropholis delicata. Niveoscincus coventryi does look quite like this individual but is typically browner in dorsal colour, has a shiny appearance and lacks a faint white dorso-lateral pale stripe that you can just make out in this photo (is present in most delicata). Also coventryi is only found in high elevation moist montane forests (wet sclerophyll forest) so mt Ainslie area not suitable. I hope this helps. WillO.
Yes I was worried about the low altitude and would have been surprised if they were there. I'm not as familiar with coventryi so was uncertain anyway. Based on your comments we go with delicata.
It would only be worth submitting more images if they clearly show the head scales and we can see whether the frontoparietal is fused or divided. I still think this is an odd delicata, but they do vary a lot and at this stage we have no other option than delicata.
