The mushroom that has been turned so as to show the gills has what looks to be a flimsy ring of tissue around the upper part of the stem. Presumably this is the remnant of a partial veil that had covered the gills before the cap expanded. Given the small size, smooth cap and stem and brownish colours, the genus Conocybe is a possibility for this sighting, but not a certainty.
