WillO, or possibly Three-lined Skink (Acritoscincus duperryi)? - always so difficult from photos!

Hi - am confident it is P. entrecasteauxii. This is the slightly more striped morph that occurs up near the tree line at Kosciuszko. It is a very similar colour pattern to A. duperryi. However the white stripes are very sharply defined in duperryi against a jet black broad lateral stripe. The head of duperryi is alsocvery slightly more pointed but it takes a lot of field observation to really get a good "feel" for that. Finally my surveys made during the many years I was doing field work at Kosciuszko for our book (Green and Osborne Wildlife of the Australian Snow) indicated that duperryi only gets to about 1600m or so in that area (gets higher in the ACT where it is milder). I hope that helps.
