This is only the 4th ever record of this semi-aquatic plant within the ACT and only the second since 1985. It is reasonably widespread across Victoria and Tasmania, but is near its natural northern distribution limit in the ACT.
User's notes
Forming a dense mat, about 2m by 50cm; on small island in the middle of the Murrumbidgee River, north of Pine Island.

No idea. I have had a quick look at Caryophyllaceae, Portulacaceae, and Boraginaceae in Plantnet and Vicflora but could not see anything that matches. Another one to take into the Botanic Gardens.

if my ID as a Glosso is correct this is only the 2nd pre 1985 record of this plant in the ACT - though it is used in aquariums
