User's notes

Two larger fluffier tailed gliders were observed that warm night in trees along the Queanbeyan River at the end of Lonergan Drive. Much smaller and thinner tailed Sugar Gliders are also known in the area.

This looks like a Dquirrel Glider, but if this is what is it would be a significant record. I will seek opinions from a few experts, but this may take a bit of time. Thanks for the posting

the thick base to the tail suggests squirrel rather than sugar glider, certainly a significant record if it can be confirmed

Talking to Rod Peach in NSW OEH - I gather that the consensus after they looked into gliders in this vicinity is that they are sugar glider, albeit big ones
