I don't think this is an Andreaea. In any description of the genus you'll see an emphasis on the black to dark red-brown colours of the species (albeit some tinged with dark green). Several species occur in the ACT, in sub-alpine to alpine areas. For example, Andreaea amblyophylla is known from Mt. Mckeahnie, Ginini Flats and Mt. Clear. A more bryologically knowledgeable person, peering over my shoulder, thinks Campylopus and Grimmia are amongst the possible genera so, for now, this must remain an unidentified moss.

I went to try and identify this a few months ago and could not find it with the GPS readings given. The area is close to houses and lots of weeds and garden escapees are all along that bank.

My camera does not have a GPS, so while I have plotted coordinates as accurately as possible, they won't be exact.
