Not sure about this one David - do the rock ferns always have these furry white hairs when they are sprouting?

This is another one where two forms share characteristics. The hairs suggest C. distans, but the pinnae shape should allow yo to distinguish. blunt, triangular is C. distans.

Thanks David. Ok I went to Mt Painter today and we definitely found real C. distans, so now I know what I'm looking for. On seconds thoughts I reckon this sighting is just a normal rock fern, but it must get the hairs when it's young? Will post a C. distans sighting shortly..!
