Common name: Delicate Skink. SVL: 40mm
Delicate Skink is in the genus commonly referred to as ground or sun skinks (Lampropholis) which contains fourteen species. Lampropholis belong to Eugongylus Group of skinks.
Delicate Skink is a highly variable skink in appearance and in some regions is not unlike the Common Garden Skink in appearance. However in Canberra region it is almost a uniform colour. Careful inspection will reveal a faint white dorsal-lateral and a lower lateral stripe.
Distribution: While once likely common and still numerous, this population numbers have likely seriously declined in Canberra region.
